The Sunday Story
We live in a world at war. 

The sure victories attained for us by Christ come under attack moment by moment. 
The world is mean. People are ruthless and often evil. We have an enemy who actively seeks to destroy us, kill us, and steal from us. 

Sunday does not deny the battle—it also does not give the battle false victory.
Sunday reorients us. Restores us. Re-establishes us. Refreshes us. Revives us.

We gather as fighters, weary or rejoicing, bruised or triumphant.
We leave reminded again of the old, old, story and reoriented to the truth that Christ has won.

We gather to see the King as He truly is - and to see ourselves as we rightly are.

Our Creator.
Our Redeemer.
Our Conquering King.
Our Banquet Host to come in triumph. 
Though we occasionally do not feel this truth it is still true.

We are returning home.
Sunday is Tolkien’s Rivendell. Sunday is the safe house in the woods.
Sunday is a chance to come home again, perhaps for the first time.

Welcome home.

Our Music
Our music serves the story.
It sees the struggle. It celebrates the victory. It restores hearts. It strengthens people together.
It is reverent, rooted, congregational, and human.

Our Service
Our liturgy reminds us we are a part of something that is primarily about Jesus and not ourselves, something that spans across ages and geographies.
Our preaching uncovers the riches of God’s perfect word and demonstrates how every page points to Jesus. 
We teach the Gospel of Grace as demonstrated in Jesus Christ.
