Full-Time Facility & Grounds Technician
Reports to: Operations Administrator
Position Summary:
The Facility & Grounds Technician supports the mission and ministry of the church by ensuring that the building, grounds, and equipment are clean, safe, and well-maintained. This position involves both indoor and outdoor work including basic maintenance, repairs, and custodial duties.
Essential Functions:
Perform minor repairs to the building or grounds as needed (plumbing, electrical,
painting, landscape, etc.)
Set up and break down rooms/areas associated with worship services, events, and
meetings according to specifications.
Monitor building systems and report maintenance or safety concerns.
Work with service vendors and technicians as needed.
Oversees and delegates work to contract property workers.
Ensure parking lots, grounds and entryways are kept clear of debris and hazards.
Perform basic custodial tasks to support facility readiness for daily operations and ministry use as well as services, events, meetings, etc.
Demonstrate an attitude of hospitality and friendliness to foster grace-filled communications and interactions with church members, visitors, guests, and church staff.
Qualifications:
Experience and familiarity with commonly used tools and equipment to execute general repairs, maintenance, and property/building care.
Attention to detail as well as self-starting motivation and reliability.
Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks (e.g. ability to climb ladders, lift 50 lbs., etc.)
Flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of the facility including ability to be “on call” as needed for issues as they arise.
Previous experience in facility maintenance preferred (minimum 1 year)
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer skills.
Schedule:
Full-Time M–Th | 8am–5pm
Sundays | 7am–12pm
40 Hours Per Week
