Welcome
Thank you for your interest in StoneBridge Church Community and our open pastoral position. SBCC is seeking a Pastor who will be responsible for shepherding the pastors, officers, staff, and congregation of StoneBridge Church, discipling and pouring into their lives and ministry. While serving in a collegial team model with current StoneBridge pastors, this Servant Leader would cast vision for our church, leading us to carry out God’s vision in the years ahead.

In Christ,
The Pastoral Search Committee (PSC)

Latest Updates
The intent of this webpage is to keep our congregation, community, and applicants informed and updated throughout our shepherding pastor search. It is our goal to keep this page regularly updated with important and relevant information.

October/November:
The past two months have seen a great deal of activity for the Pastor Search Committee. At the beginning of October, the information and application webpage went live; ads were placed with seminaries and denominations; and the committee reached out to personal contacts. Within a short period of time we began to receive resumes and applications. Since then, we have culled through the applications turning down some and passing others along to the next stage. The committee is now doing phone/web interviews in order to further understand and know the candidates. After we get through this stage (which we hope to complete in December as we will receive apps through the15th), we will begin to conduct further and more comprehensive interviews.
Please continue to pray that God will make clear the path for the person that he is bringing to StoneBridge as well as for the PSC to have particular insight and unity.

September - The work of the PSC has revolved around the preparation and finalization of necessary materials (website, application documents, church profile, etc.). Additional time has been devoted to developing the procedures for managing workflow, creating necessary documentation for the application process, and strategies for candidate recruitment.

Pray that...
  • God is glorified and enjoyed through StoneBridge’s process of seeking a new pastor to join our church.
  • obstacles are removed, and that the path is prepared for our new pastor to join our church.
  • love for our congregation, staff, and community is being planted in the heart of our new pastor.
  • the search committee is protected from evil, that seeks to create division, resentment, and temptation.
  • we seek wisdom and discernment during the process.
  • applicants are treated with grace, love, and respect.
  • the timing will be the Lord's, he will be in control, and the committee/congregation will trust the process.
