Mobilizing young professionals for Christian growth, service, and community
QuarterLife is StoneBridge’s 20’s-30’s ministry, made up of singles and young marrieds from the Charlotte area. QuarterLife’s vision is to advance the goodness of God in the lives of young adults through purposeful community, relevant teaching, and honest engagement with our city and our world.
We believe that God has called young adults to take a vigorous and energetic lead in our community and in the inter-generational life of the church. Just as ‘the Son of man did not come to be served but to serve’ (Matthew 20:28) we intend to give of our abilities and time for our community and church. QuarterLife doesn’t intend to be our place of ministry, but to fuel our place of ministry.
The QuarterLife community gathers around a Wednesday night Bible study, with teaching and discussion that aims for spiritual depth and relevant application to the issues of emerging adulthood. Unlike many 20-something groups, the QuarterLife community isn’t framed around a common marital status (single vs. married), but around a common stage of life: establishing our vocations, our autonomy, and our place in community. Our conversations together strive to explore how our faith practically informs these pursuits.
In addition to our regular Bible study together, Quarterlife seeks to equip a generation of saints for ministry and deeper Christian living through:
· accountable relationships
· retreats, forums, and other opportunities to reflect and grow
· community-creating events and social time
· regular serving opportunities in Charlotte and the world
