These ministries were originally started to serve the Spanish-speaking community, but because they are the only organization in the area offering the services they provide, they have come to serve more and more English speakers. As a result, they are in great need of English-speaking volunteers. There are a number of opportunities for Life Groups, ministries and individuals to serve, including the following:
Homeless Meal
Come out every other Saturday to help with food preparation, serving, eating with our guests, and transporting them from the Urban Men’s Shelter to the Camino Community Center for a home-cooked meal, worship and fellowship.
DINNERS are served at an area uptown known as “The Wall.” Volunteers will meet at Camino and carpool to the ministry location. A van leaves Camino at 5pm to take volunteers to The Wall, and will have volunteers back at Camino by 7:30pm.
If you have any questions, please email our Camino Homeless Dinner Coordinator, Samantha Buxton, by clicking HERE.
